Algonova (2008)
Algonova is double-hulled tanker built for Algoma Tankers Limited, a subsidiary of Algoma Central.
The new tanker was ordered in June 2007 from the Eregli Shipyard in Turkey. She replaced a single-hulled tanker of the same name that had been sold in January 2007. The second Algonova was launched in 2008.
Classified by Lloyd's Register, the Algonova is built to Finnish-Swedish ice class 1A and continues to deliver oil on the Great Lakes during the winter months.
