Alcoometry
Alcoometry \Al`co*["o]m"e*try\, n. See Alcoholometry.
Note: The chemists say alcom[`e]tre, alcoom[`e]trie,
doubtless by the suppression of a syllable in order to
avoid a disagreeable sequence of sounds. (Cf.
Idolatry.)
