Albela ( translation: Besotted) is a Hindi film released on 20 April 2001. It was directed by Deepak Sareen and stars Govinda and Aishwarya Rai as the lead protagonists.
Upon release, the film opened to mixed reviews and was declared as an average performer at the box office.
Albela was a Pakistani actor and comedian. Albela died of a heart failure at age 63 in Lahore on July 16, 2004. He is survived by a wife, two sons and 7 daughters. Born in Gojra, Punjab, Pakistan in 1941, Albela came to Lahore at a very young age to become an actor. He performed in numerous films, television and theater plays in his career spanning over 50 years. Some of his hit Punjabi films were Bharia Mela (1966), Baoo Ji (1968) and Ishq Nachaway Gali Gali (1984).

Albela is a 1951 Bollywood musical comedy film directed by and starring Bhagwan Dada and Geeta Bali. A Hindi classic, it was the third highest grossing film at the Indian Box Office in 1951 and its soundtrack by C. Ramchandra was acclaimed.
The film was later dubbed in Tamil as Nalla Pillai in 1953.
