Alamata (woreda)

Alamata is one of the woredas in the Tigray Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Debubawi Zone, Alamata is bordered on the south and west by the Amhara Region, on the northwest by Ofla, and on the northeast by Raya Azebo. Towns in Alamata include Waja. Town of Alamata is surrounded by Alamata woreda.

Alamata ( Ge'ez: ኣላማጣ) is a town and separate woreda ('Alamata Town') in northern Ethiopia. Located in the Debubawi (Southern) zone of the Tigray region (or kilil), it has a latitude and longitude of and an elevation of 1520 meters above sea level and is located along Ethiopian Highway 1. It is surrounded by Alamata woreda.
