Agonda

Agonda is a large village located in Canacona in South Goa, India. Agonda is famous for its beach and It is one of the only four beaches designated as turtle nesting sites under the Coastal Regulation Zone 2011 notification. There is one more beach on other side of Agonda cliff called Cola beach which has an adjoining lagoon.

The Agonda village has population of 3801 of which 1801 are males while 2000 are females as per Population Census 2011. In Agonda village population of children with age 0-6 is 396 which makes up 10.42 % of total population of village. Average Sex Ratio of Agonda village is 1110 which is higher than Goa state average of 973. Child Sex Ratio for the Agonda as per census is 1152, higher than Goa average of 942.
