What is "aegoceras"

Aegoceras is an evolutely wound ammmonite, with wide spaced ribs, from the Early Jurassic (England) included in the Liparoceratidae and superfamily Eoderoceratidae. Related genera are Leparoceras and Beaniceras.

Aegoceras (Beaniceras) is small, coarsely ribbed genus ammonite from the Lower Jurassic with coarsely ribbed rounded whorls. The shell is evolute, early whorls a barrel-shaped cadicone, later become serpenticonic.
