Adelsverein
The Mainzer Adelsverein at Biebrich am Rhein (Verein zum Schutze Deutscher Einwanderer in Texas / Society for the Protection of German Immigrants in Texas), better known as Adelsverein (, "Nobility Society"), organized on April 20, 1842, was a colonial attempt to establish a new Germany within the borders of Texas.
