Adamy

Adamy village, in Lwów Voivodeship (1921–1939), in eastern Poland, was one of hundreds of sites of mass killings during the wave of massacres of Poles in Volhynia between 1942 and 1945, following the Nazi German and Soviet invasion of Poland in 1939.

During the occupation, Ukrainian war criminal Dmitry Kupiak, nicknamed "Klei" meaning "glue", commanded a death squad of local bandits engaged in mass murders of Polish citizens throughout the Lwów Voivodeship. In June 1944 Kupiak burned down all the 200 houses and massacred the entire population of the village, wiping it off the face of Earth.
