What is "pepperwort"

Peppergrass \Pep"per*grass`\, n. (Bot.)

1. Any herb of the cruciferous genus Lepidium, especially the garden peppergrass, or garden cress, Lepidium sativum; -- called also pepperwort. All the species have a pungent flavor.
