pallah \pal"lah\ (p[a^]l"l[.a]), n. (Zo["o]l.) A large South African antelope ( [AE]pyceros melampus). The male has long lyrate and annulated horns. The general color is bay, with a black crescent on the croup. Called also roodebok.
