Busted (band)

Busted are an English pop rock band from Southend-on-Sea, Essex, consisting of James Bourne, Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson. Formed in 2000, the band had four UK number-one singles, released two studio albums, Busted (2002) and A Present for Everyone (2003), one compilation album and one live album before breaking up in January 2005 following Simpson's decision to pursue a career fronting post-hardcore band Fightstar. They have also won two Brit Awards and won The Record of the Year in 2004 with their single " Thunderbirds", amongst other awards. Busted have sold over 5 million albums worldwide.

In November 2013, Willis and Bourne announced plans to tour together with McFly as the supergroup McBusted in 2014, and this continued into 2015. On 10 November 2015, it was revealed that Simpson had rejoined Busted after successful secret writing sessions. The band also announced they would embark on a UK and Ireland arena tour in 2016. A musical based on the band's history, What I Go to School For - The Busted Musical (co-written by Bourne and Eliot Davis, with whom he wrote the West End musical Loserville) premiered at Theatre Royal Brighton in August 2016.

On 3 May 2016, Busted released their first new song in 12 years, " Coming Home", as a free download.

Busted (Cheap Trick album)

Busted is an album by Cheap Trick, which was released in 1990 and peaked at #44 on the US album charts. After the success of "The Flame" from the previous album Lap of Luxury, the band recorded Busted with a similar format, especially on the single "Can't Stop Fallin' Into Love." The single peaked at #12 on the US charts. The album failed to be as successful as the label had hoped, and about a year after the release of Busted Epic Records dropped Cheap Trick from their label. There were three videos shot for this LP; "Can't Stop Fallin' Into Love," "If You Need Me," and " Wherever Would I Be."

After being out of print for several years, the album was reissued in 2010 and combined onto one disc with the Found All The Parts EP from 1980, which made little sense since Found All The Parts was already available as bonus tracks on the 2006 reissue of the 1980 album All Shook Up. "Everything Works If You Let It", a track recorded for the soundtrack to the 1980 film Roadie, and the 1990 B-side "Big Bang" were also included on the disc.

The album was certified Gold in Canada for the sales of 50,000 copies in November 1990.

Busted is a compilation album by British pop rock band Busted, released in the United States in October 2004. Ten of the twelve tracks had been released as singles in the United Kingdom, with "Falling for You" being included with the intention of its being released as the group's first single in the United States, and " Teenage Kicks" being included due to its popularity amongst British fans. The song is a cover of The Undertones' classic, first issued as the B-side of " Who's David?". This could allow the album to be viewed as the band's greatest hits. The album contains four tracks from their first album, also titled Busted and seven from the follow-up A Present for Everyone. The release of the album coincided with a documentary titled America or Busted, which chronicled the band's ill-fated attempts to break into the American market.

Busted (Johnny Cash song)

"Busted" is a song covered by Johnny Cash (with The Carter Family) for Cash's 1963 album Blood, Sweat and Tears. "Busted" was written by Harlan Howard in 1962, and has been covered by several notable artists, including Ray Charles (also in 1963) and Patty Loveless (2009).

The song is about a dirt-poor farmer struggling to support his family, bemoaning a stack of bills, his family's needs, animals that won't produce and land that is barren. He even tries to ask his brother for assistance, but his brother was actually going to come to him for help. Finally, he admits he's going to pack up his family and leave to find a better life.

Busted (horse)

Busted (1963–1988) was a British Thoroughbred racehorse and sire who began his career in Ireland but had his greatest success when trained in Britain. After running without distinction in Ireland in 1965 and 1966 he was transferred to England, where his form improved enormously. In 1967 he was undefeated in four races, winning the Eclipse Stakes and the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes and being voted Horse of the Year. After his racing career was ended by injury he was retired to stud, where he proved to be a highly successful sire of winners.
