Lizard's tail \Liz"ard's tail`\n. (Bot.) A perennial plant of the genus Saururus ( Saururus cernuus), growing in marshes, and having white flowers crowded in a slender terminal spike, somewhat resembling in form a lizard's tail; whence the name.
