X Factor (Dutch TV series)

X Factor is a Dutch television music talent show contested by aspiring pop singers drawn from public auditions. It is shown Friday evenings on the RTL4 Network in the Netherlands. The first series of the show aired from October 2006 through to February 2007, while the second series of the show aired from January through to May 2009. The show is produced by Blue Circle and is currently sponsored by Fiat. The "X Factor" of the title refers to the undefinable "something" that makes for star quality.

X Factor replaced the highly successful Idols, which was put on indefinite hiatus after its third and fourth series.

In the initial televised audition phase of the show, contestants sing in front of the X Factor judges in the hope of getting through to the "boot camp". After a further selection process, the judges are each given a category to mentor and the chosen finalists then progress to the second phase of the competition in which the public vote on live performances. The current judges are: Pop singer and television host Gordon Heuckeroth, former Dolly Dots member Angela Groothuizen, Rapper Ali Bouali and Alto saxophonist Candy Dulfer.

The first series of X Factor began in October 2006 and ran to February 2007. It was not as popular as Idols. It was won by Sharon Kips. The second series, running from January to May 2009, was more successful. It was won by Lisa Hordijk. The third series was won by Jaap van Reesema. Rochelle Perts won the fourth series. The fifth series was won by Haris Alagic.

X Factor (Icelandic TV series)

X Factor was the Icelandic version of the popular British television show The X Factor. It premiered in Reykjavík on November 17, 2006 with actress Halla Vilhjálmsdóttir hosting the show. The judges were the talent agent and businessman Einar Bárðarson, rock musician Elínborg Halldórsdóttir and pop singer Paul Oscar. Previously both Einar and Páll Óskar had been judges in Idol stjörnuleit, the Icelandic version of Pop Idol.

X Factor (Danish TV series)

X Factor is the Danish version of The X Factor, a show originating in the United Kingdom and is created by talent show judge and record and TV producer Simon Cowell. There has been nine winners to date: Martin Hoberg Hedegaard, Linda Andrews, Thomas Ring Petersen, Sarah Skaalum Jørgensen, Ida Østergaard Madsen, Chresten Falck Damborg, Anthony Jasmin, Emilie Esther, and Embrace.

The original judging panel consisted of Thomas Blachman, Lina Rafn and Remee. Soulshock and Pernille Rosendahl took the places of Blachman and Rafn in season 3. Blachman returned to the panel in season 4 and Cutfather joined, replacing Soulshock and Remee. Ida Corr and Anne Linnet joined the panel in season 6 as replacements for Rosendahl and Cutfather. Rafn will not return for season 9. The original host was Lise Rønne. Signe Muusmann took Rønne's place in season 3, though Muusmann did not return for season 4 and was replaced by Rønne. Signe Molde replaced Rønne in season 6. From seasons 7 to 8, the show has been hosted by Eva Harlou. Since Season 9, the show was hosted by Sofie Linde Lauridsen who replaced Harlou.

The host is the former MTV veejay Alessandro Cattelan. Elio was the only judge from the fourth series to return. Mara Maionchi, Enrico Ruggeri and Anna Tatangelo were replaced by new judge Arisa, and former judges Morgan and Simona Ventura. All four judges and host had been confirmed in series 6 (2012).

In series 7 (2013), the judging panel was changed with Mika replacing Arisa.

Series 8 (2014) saw another change to the judging panel: Simona Ventura and Elio were replaced, respectively, by TV host and former MTV veejay Victoria Cabello and rapper Fedez.

Series 9 started airing in September 2015: the judging panel will face some changes: Morgan and Victoria Cabello will be replaced by Elio (judge from series 4 to series 7), and Skin.

The winners of the first edition were the Vocal Group Aram Quartet. Giusy Ferreri, the runner-up of the show, has become one of the most successful female singers in Italy. The winner of the second edition was Matteo Becucci (25+ years), while Noemi came to major success between the Italian public; the third edition was won by Marco Mengoni. The three series have been won by acts mentored by Morgan. Elio has token the title in the fourth season with Nathalie Giannitrapani. The fifth edition has been won by Francesca Michielin. X Factor (Poland series 1)

The first series of X Factor premiered on 6 March 2011 at 20:00 on TVN. The auditions for the first series were held in January and February. Jarosław Kuźniar hosts the show and the judges are Czesław Mozil, Maja Sablewska and Kuba Wojewódzki. The series was won by Gienek Loska who was mentored by Czesław Mozil. The second place was taken by Michał Szpak and the third finalist was Ada Szulc.

Filming of the first series began with the first audition with judges and audience on 24 January in Zabrze. The live shows began on 24 April and the finale was broadcast on 5 June.

X Factor (Romanian TV series)

X Factor is a Romanian television music talent show contested by aspiring pop singers drawn from public auditions based on The X Factor series. It is broadcast on the Antena 1 channel in Romania.

The competition is open to both solo artists and groups and has no upper age limit. Each judge is assigned one of three categories; the criteria for each has varied between seasons. Throughout the live shows the judges act as mentors to their category, helping to decide song choices, styling and staging, while judging contestants from the other categories; they also compete to ensure that their act wins the competition, thus making them the winning judge.

The original judging panel line-up in 2011 consisted of Adrian Sînă, Paula Seling, and Mihai Morar. In May 2012, it was announced that Morar, Sînă, and Seling had all left and would not be returning for the second season. On 15 June, before auditions began, Dan Bittman, Delia Matache and Cheloo were confirmed as the three new judges. When the show was revived in 2014, Bittman and Cheloo were replaced by Horia Brenciu and Ștefan Bănică, Jr.

X Factor (Poland series 2)

The second series of Polish television music competition X Factor started on TVN on 3 March and will end in June 2012. The pre-auditions took place in December 2011 and filmed auditions began on 10 January 2012 in Zabrze. Two of the judges, Czesław Mozil and Kuba Wojewódzki returned, though Maja Sablewska had left the show after the first series. She was replaced by a new judge, Tatiana Okupnik. Jarosław Kuźniar returned to present the show.

X Factor Albania is the Albanian version of The X Factor, adapted from the original UK series to find new singing talent. The first season started in January 8, 2012, and it is broadcast by TV Klan. The judges are: Albanian singer from Macedonia Altuna Sejdiu, Albanian singer Soni Malaj, Albanian superstar Alban Skënderaj, and the famous composer Pandi Laço. The show is hosted by Alketa Vejsiu. She applied to acquire the rights of the show along with Top Channel and TV Klan. Syco TV gave the rights to her, then she sold parts of the rights to TV Klan. After losing the rights of The X Factor, Top Channel acquired the rights of the talent show, The Voice.

X Factor is an Albanian television music competition to find new singing talents. The first season began on 8 January 2012 on TV Klan.

Based on the UK format, the competition consists of auditions, in front of producers and then the judges with a live audience; bootcamp; judges' houses and then the live finals. Auditions for the show began in September and concluded in October 2011. The show is hosted by Albanian singer Alketa Vejsiu, while the judging panel consists of the biggest Albanian artists. Albanian famous writer, composer and TV presenter Pandi Laço, Albanian Kosovar pop singer Vesa Luma, Albania's representative at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest Juliana Pasha and the Albanian superstar Alban Skënderaj. The winner of the first season of X factor Albania was Sheila Haxhiraj.

X Factor (Italy series 5)

X Factor is an Italian television music competition to find new singing talent; the winner receives a € 300,000 recording contract with Sony Music. The fifth series started on Sky Uno on 20 October 2011 and ended on 5 January 2012. It was the first series to be broadcast on a digital satellite television platform, after four series televised on state owned channel Rai 2. For the first time, the final was also broadcast in 3D.

The show was presented by Alessandro Cattelan, with spin-off Xtra Factor hosted by Max Novaresi and Brenda Lodigiani. Elio was the only judge from the previous series to return. Mara Maionchi, Anna Tatangelo and Enrico Ruggeri was replaced by new judge Arisa and original judges Simona Ventura and Morgan. The winner was Francesca Michielin, mentored by Ventura, and her debut single " Distratto" was released as a digital EP the day after the final, together with the ones by the remaining Top 6 contestants.

The competition was split into several stages: auditions, bootcamp, judges' houses and live shows. The first auditions took place in Milan on 5 July 2011. On 12 September 2011, contestants performed for the first time in front of an audience, at the Teatro della Luna in Milan. After the auditions, 113 acts were admitted to the bootcamp, and only 24 of them make it to the judge's house. Following bootcamp, successful contestants were split into four categories: Boys (male soloists aged 16 to 24), Girls (female soloists aged 16 to 24), Over 24s (soloists aged 25 and over) and Vocal Groups. Each judge mentored six acts through judges' houses, and eliminated three of them before the first live show. The live shows started on 17 November 2011. The final took place on 5 January 2012 and it was watched by 1,048,358 people, making it the highest rated show to be broadcast by Sky Uno.

X Factor (Romania season 2)

X Factor is a Romanian television music competition that aims to find a new music talent to become a star. The second season will begin airing in the fall of 2012 on Antena 1. The winner will receive a prize of €200,000.

The hosts are the same as in the first season: Răzvan Simion and Dani Oțil, who are also known for hosting a well known morning show on Antena 1. The X Factor producers decided to change the entire group of judges. The first mentor announced for the season was Dan Bittman On 16 June, Antena 1 announced the other two members of the jury: singer Delia Matache, and Cheloo, member of the hip-hop band Paraziții.

The registration started for the second season in May 2012. Antena 1 made changes on the list for the audition cities: Constanța was dropped, Sibiu and Craiova were added.

Baxxter, Sandra Nasic and Moses Pelham. In October 2012 Connor announced that she would not return to the judging panel for the Fourth Season.

X Factor (Poland series 3)

X Factor is a Polish television music competition to find new singing talent and part of a British franchise The X Factor. The third series began on 23 February 2013 and ended on 26 May 2013. All three judges known from the previous series including Czesław Mozil, Tatiana Okupnik and Kuba Wojewódzki returned. On 21 November 2012 it was announced that Jarosław Kuźniar would not be back to present the series due to personal reasons and his commitments to TVN24. On 13 December 2012, Patricia Kazadi was confirmed as the new presenter. It was reported that Marcin Prokop, Szymon Majewski and Agnieszka Szulim had also been in running for the role.

The winner of the series was Klaudia Gawor, who received a recording contract with label Sony Music Poland, 100,000 PLN and a car funded by Sokołów, sponsor of the show. It was also revealed that MTV would produce her debut music video.

X Factor (Italy series 7)

X Factor is an Italian television music competition to find new singing talent; the winner receives a € 300,000 recording contract with Sony Music. Before the start of the auditions process it was announced that Elio, Morgan and Simona Ventura would be confirmed as judges and mentors, whilst Mika has been chosen for replacing Arisa in the role; also Alessandro Cattelan returned as host. The sevenths series will be aired on Sky Uno starting from 26 September 2013.

Auditions for the series took place in Naples, Genoa and Milan on June 2013; bootcamp took place in Milan for two days, on 26 and 27 June. Unconfirmed rumors revealed that Elio will mentor the Over-25s, Morgan the boys, Mika the girls and Ventura the groups; they selected their final three acts during judges' houses.

Michele Bravi, a member of the category Boys and mentored by Morgan, was announced the winner of the competition on 12 December 2013. Hir winner's single, "La vita e la felicità", released immediately after the end of the show, was co-written by Italian singer-songwriter Tiziano Ferro.

X Factor (Poland series 4)

X Factor is a Polish television music competition to find new singing talent. The fourth series began airing on TVN on 1 March 2014 and ended on 31 May 2014. Kuba Wojewódzki, Tatiana Okupnik and Czesław Mozil returned as judges. Ewa Farna joined the judging panel as the fourth judge. Patricia Kazadi presents the show.

This series saw a number of changes to the format, most notably the possibility of auditioning for bands with not all members singing and the increase in the number of categories from three to four, resulting from the division of the 16-24s category into separate male and female categories.

The winner of the series was Artem Furman, who received a recording contract with Sony Music, PLN 100,000, and a car. Marta Bijan, the runner-up of the competition, was given a special prize funded by MTV Poland, who will produce her debut music video. Anna Tacikowska took the third place.

The winner is determined by the show's viewers SMS text voting, and is awarded a recording contract, worth €200,000.

The original judging consisted of Celeste Buckingham, Ondřej Brzobohatý, Sisa Sklovská and Oto Klempíř and Martin "Pyco" Rausch as hosts.

In December it was announced casting in Czech Republic. TV Prima broadcasting this season for Czech viewers and TV JOJ for Slovakian.

The hosts are the same as in the first three seasons: Răzvan Simion and Dani Oțil, who are also known for hosting a well known morning show on Antena 1. Singer Delia Matache returned to the judging panel, while Horia Brenciu and Ștefan Bănică, Jr. joined the panel as replacements for the departing judges.

On December 26, 2014, the season concluded with Adina Răducan winning the Final, she was mentored by Brenciu. Alexandra Crișan, mentored by Bănică finished in second place.
