It specializes in Pop music, some Rock and some Hip Hop product. 104.5 The Cat's coverage area extends from Louisville, Kentucky in the west to Sandy Hook, Kentucky in the east and from Cincinnati, Ohio in the north to Somerset, Kentucky in the south. It can even be heard on Jellico Mountain in Tennessee.

WLKT-FM is the fourth station to be broadcasting HD Radio in Lexington after WUKY, WKQQ, and WBUL-FM.
