What is "wichelstowe"

Wichelstowe is a new planned residential development and urban extension for the southern area of Swindon in South West England. Located North of the M4 motorway between junction 16 and Croft Road, Wichelstowe includes three neighbourhoods: East, Middle and West Wichel. The neighbourhood will comprise up to 4500 homes, employment space, public open space, shopping, community facilities for residents and various schools. It is the largest housing project from public owned land in the country.
