Whitey is a drug slang term for when a recreational drug user, as a direct or indirect result of drug use (usually cannabis), begins to feel faint. The term comes from the way one's skin turns pale during and after a fainting episode. While fainting is usually only a problem for those with low blood pressure, it can become possible for those without hypotension to faint after using cannabis or other drugs which have the short-term effect of lowering the blood pressure.

Whiteying is perceived by the stoner subculture as the result of using too much cannabis within too short a period of time. In fact the factors that usually facilitate fainting are tiredness, lack of fluids, and food, a hot and humid environment, as well as natural hypotension. They are just as important as the amount of cannabis involved. Moreover of note is that a frequent occurrence of these symptoms is likewise preceded by the consumption of cannabis or hashish mixed with tobacco and that the initial symptoms of nicotine poisoning are similar in scope. Therefore, one can, "Throw" or "Chuck" a "Whitey," having used only what may be regarded as a perfectly moderate dosage. Whiteying sometimes involves vomiting and shakiness. These episodes generally only last around 15–20 minutes, and often are followed by a 'come down' the next morning.

He works primarily in the alternative pop field, bringing in elements of pop, rock, classical and electronic; with influences from many other genres and mediums, for example charleston, swing, psychedelia, metal, acid house, cut up poetry and found sounds.

Whitey was an American band playing rock, funk and Latin styles from 1989 to 1997. Originating in Denton, Texas, Whitey was popular in the Dallas and Austin scenes including Deep Ellum and became known for its wild stage antics. They toured extensively throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisiana, and Arkansas.

Whitey was formed in Denton in the early1990s, the brain child of Corey Korn while playing in another Denton band called the Cowtippers. The original name was to be Kill Whitey (an ironic twist on a (mostly) white funk band), but Corey thought it might be too extreme and shortened it to Whitey.

Whitey, original title: De Witte van Sichem, is a Belgian movie by Robbe De Hert released in 1980. The movie is an adaption of Ernest Claes' novel De Witte. It stars Eric Clerckx, Willy Vandermeulen, Blanka Heirman, Paul S Jongers, Luc Philips and Paul-Emile Van Royen. It is the second adaption of the book. The other movie was released in 1934 as De Witte.

The title Whitey refers to the nickname of the main character: Louis Verheyden, a naughty blond boy of eleven years old.

Whitey is a slang term for a white person, which is often used in a pejorative manner. Whitey is used in juxtaposition to other ethnic slurs based upon a race's skin color, such as redskin and negro. The level of contempt held with the term varies, but one of the more severe pejorative examples is shown by the "Kill Whitey" tattoo on the cheek of Maruse Heath.

It is difficult to trace the origin, but presumably it is derived from "white" as color terminology for race. There are many examples of the term being used in pop culture from Michelle Obama denying that she used the term and instead said "that’s something that George Jefferson would say." Richard Pryor also used the term on national television on a Saturday Night Live skit in 1975.
