Virtuozzo is a privately held software company, specializing in virtualization software company. It used to be a part of the Parallels company, but became an independent business entity in 2016. Virtuozzo is a pioneer in the operating system-level virtualization field, as it developed the first commercially available container technology in 2000, which was open-sourced in 2005 in the form of OpenVZ.
