Vamshi is an Indian Kannada-language film starring Puneeth Rajkumar and Nikitha in the lead roles.It is directed by Prakash and produced by Smt. Parvathamma Rajkumar. The film was released on 2 October 2008.

Vamshi is a Telugu language word that means bamboo flute. It derives from the Sanskrit word "Vams", which means bamboo. Various compounds of the word Vamsi refer to Krishna, who is described as playing bamboo flute in Indian mythology.
