Vaijapur is a city and a municipal council in Aurangabad district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is bordered by the Nashik districts to the west, Kannad tehsil to the north, Gangapur tehsil to the east, and Ahmednagar districts to the south. Vaijapur is the headquarters of Vaijapur tehsil and also known as the Gateway of Marathwada.
Vaijapur (Assembly constituency) is one of the six constituencies of the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha located in the Aurangabad district.
It is a part of the Aurangabad (Lok Sabha constituency) along with five other assembly constituencies, viz Kannad (Vidhan Sabha constituency), Gangapur (Assembly constituency), Aurangabad East (Vidhan Sabha constituency), Aurangabad Central (Vidhan Sabha constituency) and Aurangabad West (Vidhan Sabha constituency)
