Vaidehi (TV series)

Vaidehi - Ek Aur Agni Pareeksha was a Hindi-language television series that aired on Sony TV The show premiered on 5 June 2006. It was produced by popular Bollywood actress Aruna Irani. It replaced the former Sony TV serial Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin.

Vaidehi was particularly popular in the Ivory Coast and Senegal.

Janaki Srinivasa Murthy (born as Vasanti on 12 February 1945), popularly known by her pen name Vaidehi is a well-known writer of modern Kannada language fiction. Vaidehi is one of the most successful women writers in the language and a recipient of prestigious national and state-level literary awards. She has won the Sahitya Akademi Award for her collection of short stories, Krauncha Pakshigalu in 2009.

Vaidehi is a Tamil Family soap opera that aired Monday through Friday on Jaya TV from 9 September 2013 to 6 December 2013 at 8:30PM IST and 9 December 2013 to 14 February 2014 10:00PM IST for 109 episodes. It had been receiving the highest ratings of Tamil serials and received high praising from viewers.

The show starred Abbas, Neenu Karthika, Baby Jena, Nalini, Srithika, Gowasal and Sridhar among others. It was produced by Shankaran and Paranitharan, director by Bashir and Meha V. Saikumar.
