UltraXML

UltraXML is a WYSIWYG XML dynamic desktop publishing solution that can be used for complex document creation requiring high level of typographical controls. This publishing and formatting engine uses active XSLT technology to enable the design of stylesheets and can be used to publish XML data to PDFs, PostScript, HTML and other formats.

XML publishing is most suited for technical documents and other publications where the use of a DTD or Schema for authoring and formatting is essential. Some of the supported industry standards are:

  • ASD S1000D—an International specification for technical publications utilizing a Common Source Data Base (CSDB) which can also be used for creating some types of non-technical documentation
  • ATA iSpec 2200
  • Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) DTD
  • Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) DTD
  • Service Bulletin (SB) DTD

Additional information on these DTD and schema and many others can be found at the Document Conversion Laboratory's website.
