Trichite sheaf
Trichite \Trich"ite\, n. [Gr. ?, ?, hair.]
(Min.) A kind of crystallite resembling a bunch of hairs, common in obsidian. See Illust. of Crystallite.

(Zo["o]l.) A delicate, hairlike siliceous spicule, found in certain sponges.
