Tergaonkar
Tergaonkar is a surname mostly found in Maharashtra and Karnataka states in India. They belong to the Goud Saraswat Brahmin Community and are originally from Dharwad (twin city of Hubli-Dharwad) or Belgaum district in Karnataka. Most of them are devotees of Lord Mangesh and they belong to Vatsa gotra. The village Tergaon is situated in Haliyal block in Uttar Kannada district in the state of Karnataka. Most of the Tergaonkars speak Kannada, Marathi or Konkani language. Nevertheless this surname is also found in Deshatha Brahmins.
