Stromatopelma
Stromatopelma is a genus of arboreal tarantulas (family Theraphosidae) which are native to Central Africa and parts of West Africa. Tarantulas in this genus are renowned for their potent venom. The stromatoxin peptide present in the venom has induced some medically significant effects.
