Kittiwake \Kit"ti*wake\ (k[i^]t"t[i^]*w[=a]k), n. (Zo["o]l.) A northern gull ( Rissa tridactyla), inhabiting the coasts of Europe and America. It is white, with black tips to the wings, and has only three toes.
