a. Marked by noisy enthusiasm interj. An expression of enthusiasm, expressed by high school and college cheerleaders at sporting events. n. A pleat miniskirt, popular in the early 1970s and for a brief time in the 1980s; so named because of the resemblance to skirts typically worn by high school and college cheerleaders, who normally chant "rah-rah" at sporting events.
