Pseudo-Barnabas

Pseudo-Barnabas (also referred to as "Barnabas of Alexandria") usually refers to the author of the Epistle of Barnabas and is considered an Apostolic Father, but is not considered to be St. Barnabas by most modern scholars. (Sometimes "Pseudo-Barnabas" is used to refer to the Gospel of Barnabas which most scholars consider to be a late medieval work, post-1300 CE. See Acts of Barnabas, too, for a third pseudepigraphical work attributed to the name Barnabas.)
