Of or pertaining to a natural order of apetalous plants ( Polygonace[ae]), of which the knotweeds (species of Polygonum) are the type, and which includes also the docks ( Rumex), the buckwheat, rhubarb, sea grape ( Coccoloba), and several other genera.
