Phenylacetylcarbinol (PAC) is an organic compound that has two enantiomers, one with R- and one with S-configuration. (R)-PAC, which is commonly called -PAC, is known as a precursor in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals such as ephedrine and pseudoephedrine.
