Pedara is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Catania in the Italian region Sicily, located about southeast of Palermo and about north of Catania. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 11,233 and an area of . Pedara borders Mascalucia, Nicolosi, San Giovanni la Punta, Trecastagni, Tremestieri Etneo, and Zafferana Etnea municipalities.
