Paris-Soir

Paris-Soir was a large-circulation daily newspaper in Paris, France from 1923 to 1944.

Its first issue came out on 4 October 1923. After 11 June 1940, the same publisher, Jean Prouvost, continued its publication in Vichy France: Clermont-Ferrand, Lyon, Marseille, and Vichy while in occupied Paris, it was published under German control from 22 June 1940 until 17 August 1944. Immediately prior the occupation of Paris, Paris-Soir boasted a circulation of two and a half million - - the largest circulation of any newspaper in Europe at that time.
