Owusu is both an Ashanti surname and an Ashanti given name. The name is originally from the Ashanti people of Ashanti. Owusu is one of the most common Ashanti surnames or Ashanti given names in Ashanti City-State. However, it is a real name; thus, there are both male and female versions.
