Organic synthesis

Organic synthesis is a special branch of chemical synthesis and is concerned with the construction of organic compounds via organic reactions. Organic molecules often contain a higher level of complexity than purely inorganic compounds, so that the synthesis of organic compounds has developed into one of the most important branches of organic chemistry. There are several main areas of research within the general area of organic synthesis: total synthesis, semisynthesis, and methodology.

Usage examples of "organic synthesis".

Instructor's lab manuals starting with basic inorganic chemistry and running up through organic synthesis.

It is capable of carrying out organic synthesis on the most complex level, a synthesis we ourselves have never managed to achieve.

It is an organic synthesis that any reasonably talented chemistry graduate student could perform in a well-equipped laboratory.

It would have been surprising had a young man from a well-to-do family not been familiar with the popular rage of Organic Synthesis Composing.
