What is "olevsk"

Olevsk (, translit. Olevs’k, ) is a city in Olevsk Raion, Zhytomyr Oblast, Ukraine. It is the administrative center of Olevsk Raion. Population: In 2001, population was 10,896.

On November 15 or 21, 1941, in the midst of World War II, 500 Jews from Olevsk were taken to Varvarivka, where they were murdered.
