NUVO (newspaper)

NUVO is an alternative weekly newspaper and news website serving the Indianapolis, Indiana, metropolitan area. Locally owned and operated, it features news stories, music, food, theatre and film reviews and also has sections for classifieds and other advertisements. It is printed in a tabloid format, and is available free at 1,200 locations around Indianapolis.

The paper frequently runs articles covering the happenings in area politics, music, culture, environment and the arts.

The paper began publishing in March 25, 1990 and celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2015. "Best of Indy" awards are listed each year, covering a wide range of topics such as the best meal under $5, best sex shop, best local bands, best music venues and the best radio and television personalities. Frequent freelance writers include David Hoppe, Rita Kohn, Kyle Long, Morton Marcus, Ed Johnson-Ott and Sam Watermeier.

NUVO's editors include Ed Wenck (Managing) Kat Coplen (Music), Amber Stearns (News), Sarah Murrell (Food), Brian Weiss (Social Media).

NUVO is a quarterly lifestyle magazine, founded by Canadian entrepreneur Pasquale Cusano, which publishes Canadian and international content on a wide variety of subjects. Launched in Autumn 1998, the Lainey Gossip blog described it as "a throwback to the way a magazine should be and feel, with the time and the resources to make each issue something to be devoured slowly." NUVO is a member of Magazines Canada and is audited for circulation by the Canadian Circulation Audit Bureau (CCAB).

Nuvo (liqueur)

Nuvo L'esprit De Paris is a fortified wine marketed as a sparkling liqueur. Nuvo is made in Paris, France and imported by the London Group. Nuvo was initially marketed to women; early bottles displayed the words "For Her". Later the company removed the "For Her" print.
