NihongoUp was an Adobe AIR desktop Japanese educational game and reviewing tool. The program featured several game modes which allowed the player to improve his kana typing and reading speed, review JLPT kanji and vocabulary, and learn Japanese grammar in context. The game was compatible with Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone 7 versions of the game were also available.
In 2010, NihongoUp evolved into a full-fledged online Japanese language learning community which includes interactive lessons, online review exercises, downloadable applications, and cheat sheets—all designed to provide a complete solution for learners of the Japanese language. In 2011, this content was ported to LinguaLift, and re-packaged to provide a home for self-learners of Japanese, offering both an E-textbook, and learning tools.
