What is "newleaf"

NewLeaf Travel Company Inc., branded as NewLeaf, is a Canadian virtual airline or ticket reseller based at Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport in Manitoba. It sells tickets on flights operated by Flair Airlines or Canadian North for backup.

NewLeaf had initially planned to begin operations on February 12, 2016; however, this was postponed until the Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) completed a review of its licensing requirements. The CTA decided that the company did not require an operating certificate. Despite a subsequent appeal of the CTA decision to the Federal Court of Appeal, the company announced on June 23, 2016 that they would start selling tickets immediately for flights commencing on July 25, 2016.
