Never Again (Agnetha song)

"Never Again" was written by Swedish singer and songwriter Tomas Ledin. He had already worked with ABBA, he recorded for the same label and he Tomas toured with them as a backing-singer in 1979 and 1980.

In Sweden, he was very successful but he had not had success in the rest of Europe. Stig Anderson the owner of Polar Music believed in his singing abilities and wanted to promote him across the continent. When he first heard "Never Again" Stig thought this song would make a good duet. He also knew who should become Tomas' singing partner. ABBA were in their summer holidays and member Frida had just recorded an album on her own so Stig thought that Agnetha Fältskog who wasn't involved in any ABBA projects at the moment had the right voice for the song.

Agnetha and Tomas recorded this song together, although they were not together in the studio when they laid down their vocal tracks. The single was quite successful in European countries like West Germany, mostly due to Agnetha's appearance. This song is Tomas Ledin's only successful single outside Sweden.

The two also did a Spanish recording entitled "Ya Nunca Más" which was a big hit in Chile and other South American countries.

Never Again (The X-Files)

"Never Again" is the thirteenth episode of the fourth season of the American science fiction television series The X-Files. It was written by producers Glen Morgan and James Wong, and directed by Rob Bowman. The episode aired in the United States on February 2, 1997 on the Fox network and in the United Kingdom on BBC One on December 3, 1997. The episode is a "Monster-of-the-Week" story, a stand-alone plot which is unconnected to the series' wider mythology. The episode received a Nielsen rating of 13 and was viewed by 21.36 million viewers. It received mostly positive reviews from television critics.

The show centers on FBI special agents Fox Mulder ( David Duchovny) and Dana Scully ( Gillian Anderson) who work on cases linked to the paranormal, called X-Files. Mulder is a believer in the paranormal, while the skeptical Scully has been assigned to debunk his work. In this episode, Scully leaves town—and Mulder—for a solo assignment. She soon meets Ed Jerse, a man who is being mentally controlled by a drug-related side effect of his tattoo. His tattoo, affectionately named Betty, does not want to share him, especially not with Scully.

Although "Never Again" was directed by Bowman, it was originally scheduled to be directed by noted movie director Quentin Tarantino. Tarantino was unable to direct the entry due to a dispute with the Directors Guild of America. Gillian Anderson was particularly pleased with the episode showing a different side of Scully; she had specifically asked Morgan and Wong to write an episode that explored Scully's dark side. Several cast members from Morgan and Wong's series Space: Above and Beyond were cast in the episode.

Never Again (Kelly Clarkson song)

"Never Again" is a song recorded by American pop singer Kelly Clarkson for her third studio album, My December (2007). Clarkson co-wrote the song with Jimmy Messer while produced by American producer and musician David Kahne. Clarkson stated that the song was written as a counterpart to the songs from her second studio album, Breakaway (2004), and was almost removed because of its harsh lyrical nature. RCA Records serviced the song to mainstream radios in the United States on April 24, 2007. "Never Again" features a stronger rock sound than Clarkson's previous releases, but maintains some pop undertones. It relies on strings, guitar riffs and drums and is centered on angry, abrasive lyrics.

"Never Again" received positive reviews from music critics, with many citing it as a darker counterpart to " Since U Been Gone" (2004) and as one of her best releases. The song fared well in international as well as domestic markets, but failed to mimic the success of her previous lead singles. It peaked at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It was also certified gold in Canada and Australia while peaking within the top ten in both regions. The song has sold over one million downloads in the United States. The accompanying music video for "Never Again" was released on May 1, 2007 in the United States. It portrays Clarkson being drowned in a bathtub and in various scenes acting as a ghost, haunting her ex-boyfriend following the end of their relationship.
