Neo (The Matrix)

Neo (born as Thomas A. Anderson, also known as The One) is a fictional character in The Matrix franchise. He was portrayed by Keanu Reeves in The Matrix Trilogy, as well as having a cameo in The Animatrix short film 'Kid's Story'. Andrew Bowen provided Neo's voice in The Matrix: Path of Neo. In 2008, Neo was selected by Empire as the 16th Greatest Movie Character of All Time. Neo is also an anagram of "one", a reference to his destiny of being The One who would bring peace. There are claims that a nightclub in Chicago inspired the name of the character in the Matrix.

Neo is an artificially constructed international auxiliary language created by Arturo Alfandari, a Belgian diplomat of Italian descent. The language combines features of Esperanto, Ido, Novial and Volapük. The root base of the language and grammar (in contrast to that of Esperanto and Ido) are closely related to that of the French language, with some English influences.

Neo (written next to the logo is the title in katakana, ネオ) is a 100-page monthly magazine published in the United Kingdom and Ireland published by Uncooked Media. The magazine focuses on various aspects of East Asian entertainment such as Japanese anime (animation) and manga (graphic novels); Hong Kong, Korean and Japanese films; and Japanese pop, rock and visual kei.

The magazine features anime, manga, video game, film and book review sections that cover books pertaining to East Asian entertainment, such as director biographies or Japanese cookbooks, a monthly tutorial run by Sweatdrop Studios on the basics of creating manga-styled illustrations and interviews with people in East Asian entertainment, actors bands. Neo are a Hungarian indie- electronic band, best known for producing the music for the movie Kontroll.

The band was formed in autumn of 1998 from the idea of Mátyás Milkovics. During the first five years of existence, Márk Moldvai worked with Mátyás Milkovics as a duo. Their first single was released in 1998, an adaptation of " The Pink Panther Theme".

2004 marked the birth of an entirely new Neo, in which, with Mátyás Milkovics, were Enikő Hodosi, Péter Kőváry and Gergő Szőcs, an electro-drummer who joined the creative group in the second part of the year.

The Neo were a fictional race of superhumans in the , created by Chris Claremont. Before facing global extinction, the Neo were another of Earth's races, apparently a very ancient one that prefer to live in seclusion. They appear to be a subspecies of mutants, but much more powerful. This is seen in the way they call mutants "spikes", as if they didn't even register on the Neo's power scales.

Neo was a nightclub located at 2350 N. Clark St. in the Chicago neighborhood of Lincoln Park. Established on July 25, 1979 Neo is the oldest or one of the oldest running nightclubs in Chicago and was a hangout and venue for a variety of musicians and artists, including David Bowie, Iggy Pop, David Bryne, the Clash, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and U2. The nightclub has been noted for being gay-friendly as well as part of goth subculture.

Neo is a 1979 debut solo album by the American punk musician Ian North. It was recorded in 1978 in Ian Gillan's studio and released in 1979 by Aura Records. Although the album was released as a solo work of Ian North, he recorded it with three session musicians: Steve Byrd on guitar, John McCoy on drums and Bryson Graham on drums and they later formed Neo, as a "semi-band", because they were paid by North. Many songs were written by North while the band comprised him and the brothers Robin and Paul Simon. This line-up, the band's first played a gig during 1977. In early 1978, Robin Simon left to join Ultravox and, shortly afterwards, his brother Paul was sacked by North and joined Cowboys International.

North said in a 2007 interview that while the album was being recorded, ex- Deep Purple member Ian Gillan was watching Neo, and after the recording was finished, Byrd, McCoy and Graham left North, because Gillan invited to them to join his fledgling band Gillan. Shortly afterwards, North renewed Neo with true band members until 1978 when North returned to the USA.

It was not released on CD.

NEO (video gamer)

Filip Kubski, (born June 15, 1987) better known as NEO, is a Polish player of the Counter-Strike series who a AWPer and Rifler for Virtus.pro. NEO is considered one of the best players in Counter-Strike history and one of the "Golden Five" group of Polish CS players who won many tournaments with a number of different esports teams. He has also played for AGAiN, Universal Soldiers, ESC Gaming, Frag eXecutors, Vitriolic, Wicked eSports, Meet Your Makers, and Pentagram G-Shock. Kubski has been playing professionally since 2004.

In addition to being a great aimer and highly intelligent player, Kubski is also highly regarded for his mastery of Counter-Strike 1.6's in-game movement. His ability to perform difficult movements and access areas of maps that are unreachable by most make him unpredictable and difficult to counter.
