What is "mythri"

Mythri is a 2012 Telugu suspense film directed by Surya Raju starring Navdeep and Sadha in the lead roles. Rajesh Kumar produced the movie on Hanu Cine Creations Banner and Vikas provided the music. The movie released on 30 November 2012. The film was later dubbed and released in Tamil as Mythili in August 2014.

Mythri [English: Friendship] is a 2015 bi-lingual Indian social drama film made in Kannada and Malayalam languages written and directed by B.M Giriraj and produced by N. S. Rajkumar under the banner of Omkar Movies. It features Mohanlal and Puneeth Rajkumar along with Archana, Atul kulkarni and Bhavana in both versions. Ilaiyaraaja is scoring the music for the lyrics of H.S. Venkatesha Murthy and Baraguru Ramachandrappa in Kannada and Rafeeq Ahammed in Malayalam. Krishna Kumar handled the cinematography. The film is a social drama, and also focuses on relationships in the time of liberalisation.

The Kannada version released on 20 February 2015 worldwide and garnered largely positive reviews from critics and audience. The film was praised for its strong script, realistic plot, acting and social message. Some critics called it one of the best films made in Kannada. The Malayalam version released on 12 June 2015 in Kerala.
