What is "moen"

Møn is an island in south-eastern Denmark. Until 1 January 2007, it was a municipality in its own right but it is now part of the municipality of Vordingborg, after merging with the former municipalities of Langebæk, Præstø, and Vordingborg. This has created a municipality with an area of and a total population of 46,307 (2005). It belongs to the Region Sjælland ("Zealand Region"). Møn is one of Denmark's most popular destinations for tourists with its white chalk cliffs, countryside, sandy beaches and the market town of Stege.

Moen is a product line of faucets and other fixtures started by inventor Alfred M. Moen that is now part of the Fortune Brands Home & Security company. The Moen subsidiary is headquartered in North Olmsted, Ohio. Moen was originally part of Ravenna Metal Products of Seattle, Washington. In 1956, it became part of Stanadyne, which was in turn acquired by Forstmann-Little & Company in 1988 and then purchased by the consumer-products holding company Fortune Brands. Fortune Brands then spun off its related product lines to form the Fortune Brands Home & Security company on October 3, 2011.

MØN or MØN - Rock Orchestra is a group of seven French musicians, created in 2004, whose music spans rock, pop and classical. The music draws on the post-rock styles of Silver Mt. Zion and Mogwai, integrating artists such as Rachel's, Tindersticks, Blonde Redhead, Steve Reich and Mercury Rev.

Since September 2006, MØN has given concerts in various parts of France as well as in Switzerland and Luxembourg. In June 2007, it won the Paris Jeunes Talents award.

The name of the band is inspired by the beautiful island of Møn, which is one of the smaller Danish islands in the Baltic Sea.
