Markeb is a variant form of Markab the proper name for some stars.
- k Puppis, in the constellation Puppis, was former Kappa Argus lettered by Bayer.
- Kappa Velorum, in the constellation Vela, was later Kappa Argus re-lettered by Lacaille.
