Main Building (University of Texas at Austin)

The Main Building (known colloquially as The Tower) is a structure at the center of the University of Texas at Austin campus in Downtown Austin, Texas, United States. The Main Building's 307-foot (94 m) tower has 30 floors and is one of the most recognizable symbols of the university and the city.

Main Building is a four-story administration and classroom building for the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. It houses some administrative offices for the university, the President's office, numerous conference rooms, several classrooms, and a visitors center.

Main Building (Vassar College)

Main Building is on the Vassar College campus in Poughkeepsie, New York. It was built by James Renwick, Jr. in the Second Empire style in 1861, the second building in the history of what was one of America's first women's colleges. It is one of the earliest, largest, and most important examples examples of Second Empire architecture in the United States and is a National Historic Landmark. At the time of its completion, the structure contained the most interior space of any building in the United States, and housed the entire college, including dormitories, libraries, classrooms, and dining halls. Currently, the first and second floors house campus administration while the remaining three (including the second floor wings) house student rooms.

It was taken over by protesters in 1969 and again in 1990.

It was named a National Historic Landmark in 1986. The Vassar Observatory, the first building built on the Vassar campus, is also a National Historic Landmark.

Main Building (Statistics Canada)

The Main Building, or Main Statistics Canada Building, is a four storey federal government office building located at 150 Tunney's Pasture Driveway in the Tunney's Pasture area of Ottawa, Canada. It is connected on the north side by the Jean Talon Building and on the south side by the R. H. Coats Building. Most of its 1,700 occupants work for Statistics Canada. Other tenants include Health Canada, Public Works and Government Services Canada, and SNC-Lavalin.

The building was completed in 1952 to accommodate the growing staff of the Dominion Bureau of Statistics. At that time the Main Building was only one of two buildings in Tunney’s Pasture - the other being a heating plant.

In recent years, the building has experienced structural and environmental problems such as water leakage and power failures.

Main Building (Montgomery, West Virginia)

Main Building, also known as "Old Main," is a historic building located on the campus of West Virginia University Institute of Technology at Montgomery, Fayette County, West Virginia. It was built in 1895-1897. In 1898 and 1905, two-story wings were attached to each side of the original unit. The total length is 207 feet. It features a projecting three story, square entrance tower with a slate covered hipped roof.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
