Lautu

Lautu also known as Lawtu or Lutuv are a tribal indigenous people inheriting a mountainous region in Chin State, Burma. The Lautu people are initially known as the 'Lawtus' of southern independent villages. They occupy seventeen villages in the region and speak the Lautu language. There are approximately 18,000 Lautu, of which 85% are Christians. Lautu have emigrated to other countries as diverse as Australia and the United States.
