What is "kunnathur"

Kunnathur ( Kunnattūr) is a taluk (a local Indian administrative district) in Kollam District in the Indian state of Kerala.

The capital of Kunnathur Taluk, Sasthamcottah, is known for its freshwater lake and attractions. The Kallada River flows eastward within Kunnathur near the Kokkamkave Durga Devi Temple. It is within the border of the Kollam and Pathanamthitta Districts.
