Kabuliwala ( Kābuli'ōẏālā, " Kabul wallah") is a 1957 Bengali film directed by Tapan Sinha and based on the eponymous story by the Bengali writer Rabindranath Tagore.

Kabuliwala is a Bengali short story written by Rabindranath Tagore in 1892, the story is of a Pathan merchant from Kabul, who migrated to Calcutta (present day Kolkatta), India for trading into dry-fruits business and while living in India he befriends a four-year-old girl Mini from a middle-class family as she reminds him of his daughter who is living in Kabul.
