Jogi is a 2005 Kannada film with Shivrajkumar and Jennifer Kotwal in the lead roles; it was directed by Prem, who had previously directed Kariya. Jogi was released on 19 August 2005. Record box office collection was reported across Karnataka and the movie completed 100 days in more than 61 theaters. The film was noted for its technical prowess, colloquial Kannada dialogue and lyrics. Its story revolves around an old lady who comes to the city from her village in search of her presumably lost son. It was remade in Telugu as "Yogi" with Prabhas and Nayantara as well as in Tamil as Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram starring Dhanush and Meera Jasmine.

Gurukiran scored the music, while director Prem penned lyrics for all the songs. The audio, released by Ashwini Audio, was a critical and commercial success.

Jogi (Panjabi MC song)

"Jogi" is a famous international bhangra hit in 2003 for the British bhangra artist and DJ Panjabi MC and considered his second definitive tune next to his initial bhangra success hit " Mundian To Bach Ke". The hit was written by Punjabi poet and lyricist Babu Singh Mann and by Rajinder Rai himself (Panjabi MC) and contains additional vocals by Beenie Man in addition to an unidentified high-pitched female singer and prominent tumbi and dhol accompaniment. Bass is credited to Marcel Stepel and guitar play by Andre Dembkowski. A music video was also released.

Music experts say Panjabi MC samples in "Jogi" parts of the beat from "It's a New Day" by Skull Snaps released in 1973 and "Put It On" by Big L featuring Kid Capri released in 1994.

It was marketed in the UK as a double A side single with B-side being "Beware of the Boys (Jay-Z Remix)"

The song was also featured in Far Cry 4.

Jogi (The Sketches song)

"Jogi Song" is a song by Pakistani Sufi-rock band The Sketches in which guest appearance have been given by Grammy Award winning harmonica player John Popper and its produced by Jono Manson. The Jogi song is recorded in Pakistan and US. This song is nominated for Best Song in the World Beat category at the New Mexico Music Awards. Jogi is the first single from the new upcoming album of The Sketches.
