ironSource is an online software and mobile distribution company backed by Carmel Ventures, a Viola Group affiliate. ironSource is the company behind brands such as MobileCore (The mobile SDK platform) and MediaCore (Algorithmic media buying infrastructure). The main product of ironSource is InstallCore, an SDK ( Software Development Kit) for the creation of web based software installers with an integrated download manager and advertising component. It supports over 100 million software installs per month. According to the company, The platform claims to shorten download time and to ease the install experience. but also offer ad supported products before installing the main software. The company helps developers monetize software downloads by advertising and ad supported installs, and is part of the so-called Download Valley in Israel. ironSource is currently valued at more than $1 Billion (105 Million in received funding).

On September 2015 ironSource has merged SuperSonic into its mobile operation for a price estimated to be $200 million. The new organization will have a total of 800 employees with half dedicated to R&D.

On May 2016, ironSource announced the launch of their suite of big data solutions - Atom, debuting with Data Flow Management, a robust data infrastructure solution allowing data-driven businesses to securely transfer billions of daily events to storage in the cloud in near real time.

On July 2016, ironSource announced the acquisition of Sequoia-backed video technology company StreamRail. The 15 person Streamrail team joined ironSource’s Advertiser Solution division, where their proprietary technology for video delivery and monetization will work to enhance ironSource’s existing video advertising platform for brands - ironSource Neon.
