Wikipedia Hongeohoe Hongeohoe, or hongeo, is a type of fermented fish dish from Korea's Jeolla province. Hongeohoe is made from skate and emits a very strong, characteristic ammonia-like odor that has been described as being "reminiscent of an outhouse".
