Hlinsko

Hlinsko is a town in the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic.

Hlinsko's history can be traced back to the 11th century for the first written document. Hlinsko stands on the banks of the Chrudimka river, at the foot of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. It has about 10,000 inhabitants and it is the natural centre of its region called Hlinecko.

There are 3 primary schools, a grammar school, a swimming-pool, and 3 supermarkets in the town.

Hlinsko is a village and municipality ( obec) in Přerov District in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic.

The municipality covers an area of , and has a population of 202 (as at 3 July 2006).

Hlinsko lies approximately north-east of Přerov, south-east of Olomouc, and east of Prague.
